Just a few pictures today of the end products. The Easter Garden Baskets were a whimsical creation of the Garden of Gethsemane, the hill of Calvery, and the burial tomb all combined with meaningful elements such as candles to represent Jesus as the Light of the World, tiny birds eggs to represent our new life in Him, etc. The Easter gardens turned out really awesome if I do say so myself! I could hardly think of a better way to fill up an Easter basket with the true meaning of the holiday. I actually love the plant selection–being a former cacti hater, God has shown me the beauty of another part of his creation (once dubbed ugly) through this project. Here is where we got the idea if you want to make one too.
Tayler’s Bee-u-tee-ful Basket
Noah’s “Just One More Plant Mommy” Basket
David’s “I Don’t Like Dirt” Basket
(cross and tomb still in process)
So why no pictures of us doing the project? Well we had to move the project indoors because of the rain today and you should have seen the dirt fest that transpired inside my house. I guess we didn’t feel like jumping up and leaving another dirt trail in order to grab a camera. Moms and three year olds alike were fully covered in dirt head to toe. Good times. :0 Good memories. 🙂
